Ratcheting Up the Bar in Tool Development

LINK INTRODUCES THREE POSITION RATCHETING UNIDRIVER®

LINK Tools UniDriver®, a solid core universal 1/ 4 inch drive tool that connects at both ends, has been hailed as one of the most innovative additions to the world of hand tools in decades.   A LINK Tools UniDriver combines all the functions of a speeder, an extension and a screwdriver. Now LINK has taken the design of the famous UniDriver and ‘ratcheted’ it one step higher!

The new, all-metal Ratcheting UniDriver is a key addition to any toolbox because of  its ability to ratchet in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction or to be set to the neutral position.  The Ratcheting UniDriver can loosen or tighten attachments rapidly and because of LINK’s patented ‘hand-to-work’promise, there’s no danger of dropped sockets damaging a machine or delaying its repair.

When set in the neutral position this LINK Ratcheting UniDriver can be used with a t-bar or ratchet handle “plugged” into the top of the handle for greater torque.  The free rotation of the solid metal shaft with the handle remaining in a neutral position means the Ratcheting UniDriver can be hand held with another handle plugged into the top and guided without any loss of torque during the process. This unique versatility in a single tool means significantly greater efficiency, safety and economy.

Another example of the Ratcheting UniDriver superiority can be demonstrated when the ratchet and the ratcheting UniDriver are alternated, forward and back.  This results in twice as much turning power, doubling the output of LINK tools over conventional tools.

TÜV, Europe’s premier licensing organization has this to say about its study of LINK Tools in the workplace; LINK Tools “clearly show a significant improvement in task performance of the drive tool system compared to conventional systems.”  TÜV added,
“The certainty that the tools stay attached to each other during use and the ability to get to hard to reach areas or bolts were specifically cited among other areas of improved performance in user tests.

The Ratcheting UniDriver retails for $44.99 and can be used with any high quality, branded socket drive tool.   LINK manufactures complete 41- piece 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch tool sets with socket bits and standard and metric sockets.  It also markets an 18 piece 1/4 inch UniDriver set.  The Ratcheting UniDriver can be obtained in any of the LINK sets for a slight additional charge.    A wide range of additional accessories which link and lock to each other as well as other branded tools are also available.   The tools can be ordered by accessing www.link-tools.com
